What is CORE?

The Community Outreach Response & Engagement (CORE) project is a Mendocino County-wide initiative designed to provide a collaborative response to the provision of services and supports to members of our community struggling with homelessness, addiction, untreated severe mental health symptoms, and/or disconnection from supportive services.

The project involves deep collaboration and partnership between the Mendocino County Departments of Social Services and Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, and law enforcement organizations, including the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office and the Ukiah Police Department.

Formal launch date: January 1, 2025.
